If you have any suggestions or comments on these new rules, the changes, or anything, feel free to comment below on this thread, put a new thread in forum suggestions, or PM one of the staff members. Also there is a poll above! Please participate!
Miscellaneous Improvements:
- Avatars are now rounded
- Last poster avatar shows up on the forum list
- Text editing has major improvements! no more wonky emojis and what not!
- Supposedly better support than before for Iphones (but i don't have one to test it out on)
- Instead of just being able to like others comments and threads, you have a handful of reactions to choose from now instead if you hover over the like button!
- Hoarder style had an issue with not showing the different tabs on a users profile, but we made them contrast so they are now visible when using this visual style for the site. Don't forget to try out the other styles if the purple and black doesn't work for you and we can make new ones on request! You can change your style at the very bottom of the site page at anytime!
- I think we have had it for awhile, but even so, there are profile covers!
- Tags now work everywhere! Feel free to add them to your posts for the seller & model so that its easier for people to find yours when looking for a particular toy!
- When on someones profile, there is a new marketplace tab that makes it super easy to see what toys someone has posted for sale in the new marketplace!
New Rules:
- "Marketplace" is for posting individual toys for sale/auction only. If you have 4 or less toys for sale, please make individual posts to sell them under here.
-"Group Sales (5+ toys)" is for posting if you have 5+ toys for sale. This is for group photos and selling them still individually (or as a bundle if you prefer) but it must have 5 or more toys for sale to be posted here or it will be deleted on sight. Just post here like you normally did in the old "Active Sales Posts" section.
- We are going to start enforcing these rules. I am making the active sales posts read only until 9/27/2020 where all those threads will retire unless they are group threads with 5+ toys and the seller personally requests we move their thread for them to the new group sales area. Otherwise toys will have to be individually posted in the "Marketplace" or you will have to make a new group sales post under "Group Sales (5+ toys)."
New Marketplace Add-On Details:
- Of course the new marketplace was added just in general lol
- Here you can see toys by their photos with little tag lines to get an idea of the toy before even clicking on it!
- Please continue to use prefixes like normal (or start using them! Remember to change them when a toy has sold or you cancel your post and what not)
Commenting To Buy A Toy In The New Marketplace:
- Once you are in the "Marketplace," you select which toy photo interests you. At the top under the title for the toy, there is a discussion tab. Once clicked, you can see all the people who commented on this sale, or be the first and nab that dream toy!
- Another option is on the top right, you can click inquire now. When you do, a window will pop up verifying the price (which may or may not include shipping, check the details), and you can press inquire now again. Once you have done that, an automatic message will have sent showing the seller your interest. Here you can continue to ask any questions you have or message whatever your heart desires.
Creating A New Sales Post In The Marketplace (the breakdown):
Now this may seem a lot to describe, but I posted 3 toys in just 3 minutes with this easy to use form! (but don't forget your timestamps!)
1. On the top of the new marketplace, you will find a post item button that you click when you are ready to post a toy individually.
2. A form will pop up where you select your prefix & choose a title.
3. There is a tag line that will show up on the marketplace front page if you want to add a little something about the toy, it must be filled with something so if you have nothing, possibly repeat the title if you so choose with or without more detail or just put a smiley face!
4. Ignore the type circle checked box and the sell resource checked box that is always checked.
5. Type in your price for the toy. Further down you will be able to specify if it is with or without shipping included.
6. Upload new resource image: This is where you select the photo that will show up on the main marketplace area, so this is a must! It does not have to be the timestamped photo, but if it isn't one, then you MUST include one in the description box below. Note that this photo must be vertical and not horizontal due to the way that the marketplace displays the toys for sale.
7. There is a free form box that you fill out to identify what the model, shop name, and toy size is for the toy you are selling.
8. Here you check what flops your toy has (or doesn't). If it has none, either select no flop or ignore it completely if it doesn't apply.
9. There is a drop down menu for the condition of your toy. Either it is opened (which loses its bagged value) so it is considered used or its still bagged.
10. Coloration and Firmness are also free formed boxes where you type what fits the toy you are selling. For firmness, please read the info below and use the number system to identify what firmness your toy is. Different shops use different firmness and you can even type in the details of your split firmness or cored toys!
11. Here you will select if your toy glows and what kind of glow. If it doesn't apply, select no glow or ignore it completely.
12. Next there are drop downs for if your toy has a cup, tube, or is a legacy/retired/special model. I added extra options under cups and tubes as i know people make their own alterations at times as well as there being failed cups and what not. Please select honestly what applies to your toy! Under legacy/retired/special, I have the definitions of each so that you know what to select!
13. Here we have two check mark box options for shipping info, if you ship internationally or if the price you posted includes the shipping price or not. Select which applies.
14. Now we finally reach the description box. Here you can add more photos (or links from imgur) to show more sides or glow or whatever you'd like to help sell your toy! (that isn't in use or nsfw) be sure to add details such as if you only use paypal for payment and whatever else that is important to you. Don't forget if you didn't make the main photo a timestamped photo, you still need to add one here!
15. Here we reach the tag line! Write the abbreviation (and if you're not lazy also the full typed out name) of the store your toy is from and the name of the model so that people can more easily find your toy if they are looking to buy it!
16. Feel free to ignore the additional information URL or use it to possibly link to its store page you bought it from or whatever else you'd like as additional info.
17. Feel free to ignore uploading a new icon, honestly I wished it would just use our avatar photos like in the threads, but we are working on it.
