i went through every aspect of the form in my initial post, so if anyone had any questions they would know what is going on with it. There are currently no known bugs with the form and the checked marked boxes are as should be. To upload a new resource image, you must go to the upload new resource image area and press choose file to select your photo.

I don't have that option when I go to upload a listing, unfortunately! I'm not sure if it's my site theme (I'm on the gray one, will try an alternate one in a moment) or something else? I'm using Chrome on a desktop running Windows 7. I went through my extensions and disabled them each but none of the extensions were blocking the new upload image widget, so I'm not sure what's causing it to not pop up.



edit: Just bug tested in an incognito tab (no extensions interfering at all) and tried swapping from the Hoarder theme to Dark Mode, but I still can't see the upload image widget for some reason! Not sure what's up w/ it.

...thats interesting. Thank you for reporting this new found bug the check mark that you initially reported is supposed to be like that although its a useless field. we were unable to remove it, but the upload image area not showing up is most definitely something wrong. I am also using chrome and have no issues with it, so it cant be that.. i'm going to look at some things on the back end. if you can contact me through discord for more direct back and forth to try to sort this out, that would be lovely!

Update on Obtenteum's issue! Something in the add-on broke sometime this morning (as it was working fine during testing, yesterday, and all last night), but luckily we found a work around and so everyone should be able to see where to upload a photo for their sales post now! Thank you for bearing with us as we are continuing to find and fix issues with it being fully released!

@Bear - Thanks for adding the usernames to the Marketplace page! That does make it easier to scroll through and see who is selling what, especially if someone has several in a row.

@Bun - I take no offense to prioritizing the sellers' perspective; I just don't really see sellers' and buyers' interests separately. If buyers don't like the format and focus their attention on group sales posts instead, that's bad for Marketplace sellers. BUT, so far it seems that I'm the only buyer whining about it and everyone else is happy, so it's not much of a loss for anyone. I was also thinking of sellers in terms of having to answer the same questions in several PMs, but I guess they can always edit their listing if they find the same questions coming up.

I only added my feedback since the poll asked whether or not we liked it and to comment why, so I figured I'd share my thoughts and concerns and see if it sparked any agreement from others. If the feedback from the majority is that everyone loves it (or if no one else dislikes it enough to join in and say so), then I don't see a point in considering another poll asking if we should go back. I'll either get used to it or just stick with the Group Sales. Once I get around to selling, I'll just make sure I'm always selling 5 at a time if I still prefer that format.

oh, when mentioning about previous priorities, i just meant that sometimes i dont think in the full perspective. hearing your and boris and a few others feedback has been super helpful! and even though right now we arent planning on a complete reverse at all, hearing both positive feedback and constructive feedback are equally important! if there comes up that new fields need to be added, like i still need to add the one about smoking or pets and stuff that someone suggested, or any new things we see that is repeatable, we can add that field for more ease! of course if its just more specific to the one seller, yeah they have to add their own details to their post as per usual. i have 3 toys posted and just copy pasted the same thing i wanted in each.

i really do appreciate you sharing your feedback rather than just vote no! i wish others felt the same way. even though changes may not be immediate through these types of feedback, i keep them in mind and then change things overtime just like we recently did with the auction rules! i only made that other poll because i felt like it had a more attracting title as most people that looked at this thread didnt vote at all either way :'c it wasn't anything on you! i'm glad youve figured out a way to still make the site work for you and your sales for the time being! let me know if you come up with any other suggestions please! and thank you for your feedback <3

I also don't like that I now have to check 2 different places to find toys for sale: the Marketplace for individual listings, and the Group Sales post for larger sales. No doubt I will periodically forget that one or the other exists. I already forget about the trade thread most of the time.

also so you can have an easier time in the future, tags are working completely now and you can just look up what toy you want and it will show up all the group sales and marketplace sales selling that toy! so you dont have to switch back and forth unless you just want to do some regular browsing. hopefully that helps your ease of access! we just gotta encourage people to use the tags more so this continues to be useful!

Yeah, I'm just more of a browser is all. I've amassed a big collection in a short time, but I'm actually still pretty new to the community and don't really shop for something specific that I would be searching the tags for. I just check what's for sale and let them seduce me. The changes might actually save my bank account, so I should probably be happy!

i love that ahaha honestly scrolling down the new marketplace and seeing these toys makes me miss having my display case out to always see my pretties. I've definitely had great pours also seduce me into trying out the model lol

Click on the Marketplace tab right under the DragonMoor header at the top of this page, then click the "Post item" button on the right at the top

No...it's right here, actually. =) You have to actually *be* in the marketplace to post an item for sale.

It's not a dropdown option. If you click on the word "Marketplace" (or on the "Toy Sales" link below), it will take you the Marketplace. At the top of that page, above the sales posts, there is a white button on the right that says "Post item".

My 50 cents...

Overcomplicated and overruled something that was easy to do before, free-form, and hence very flexible.
This also no longer allows for easy parallel posting of sales ads on DH+DM in many cases because you can't simply copy-paste stuff over to the respective other site anymore. For the "single toy per thread" rule it'd even force people to take another set of photos.

I am not willing to spend more time on selling my toys, so as long as these rules are in place, I'll only post/update my sales on DH. No more "two birds one stone" possible.

Valid points and feel free to do as you'd please! However, the form is optional and you can still always just copy paste the details in the description still if thats the format you'd like to use. No need to take another set of photos at all! We still have the group thread for selling multiple toys and if you're just posting one toy for sale, you'd just use that one timestamped photo like usual! Or even if you were using a group photo, you could circle the toy or crop the photo to just the toy being sold. Just thinking about work arounds for you to consider if you'd like, but i very much understand where you're coming from. Thanks for the feedback! Please check in the future for future updates to the site as we are hoping to make the marketplace available to post multiple toys for sale at a time, however it will take quite a long time to figure it out. Thanks again!

actually now thinking about it, it might make it easier for us to make it available for group sales posts if we just made the form a toggle, being completely optional. I'll look into this! So even with solo toys, you can use the form or just do it as we did before! This I'm sure would please those that aren't so into the update, making the only difference posting a thumbnail photo for the front of the marketplace! Thank you so much for giving me the idea! @TheOtherDude
