Hi everyone!

The last announcement on The Moor included a poll regarding the implementation of more Auction rules. While everyone’s feedback was very important to us, We came to realize that our feelings on the situation are much stronger than anticipated- which was heavily influenced by the discussions and responses that have transpired since the announcement. Everyone had really great ideas, which is how we found a new rule that makes us as staff more comfortable. Not to mention that we care more about our moral integrity and doing what feels like the right thing to keep people more protected. Especially when I personally have seen some red flags that I feel like I cant ignore.

As such; the other moderators and I will start enforcing the rule that an account must be one week old and have at least 3 feedback or vouches from other users before they are able to participate in auctions. Vouches are statements of good faith from people who have been good community members for at least 3 months or longer. It's the best we can do. This rule will ONLY affect auctions, but does affect buyers AND auctioneers. Regular sales will be left unchanged. In my eyes (and the eyes of my moderators,) this is the best and safest solution that won't stop new users from wanting to join as most people don't use DM solely for auctions.

If you do not like this arrangement, there are other options for you to use for your Auctioning purposes. Remember that this is for the benefit of sellers and bidders both; and we are doing what we believe is right to keep you and others safe.

We're very sorry for any inconvenience involving this topic, but we really do feel this is the appropriate step to take.

Give us time to make DM reflect these rules, but they are in place from now on. Auctions can start up again.

Please remember to remain respectful to one another.

Awesome.

Only thing is.... I have sold 3 toys since joining this forum, and doing my best to ship the next business day and be transparent with invoices and tracking numbers, left reviews for people who have bought from me, but none have reciprocated, so my rating is still ambiguous at 0%. :C

Have you asked them for feedback? I'm pretty sure you've done a handful of interacting as I've seen you around so I'm sure you could get vouches!

I've gone in my inbox and asked the other 2 people I've sold to if they would leave me feedback. Only one person I sold to left me feedback despite me leaving feeding for everyone I sold to. I'm not really planning on participating in any auctions, but it would still be nice to have feedback from people I've sold to.

If they are DM transactions, if you let me know what users the interactions were with, I could go through and verify the transaction went through without a problem through the DM's only with permission or with a screenshot so it would count. Maybe I could find a way to have these vouches and stuff on profiles like feedback.

This is all still a work in progress and subject to change.

This sucks for those of us who don't buy a lot.

I've made 2 purchases on DM and received no feedback from the sellers. Both of whom are inactive...

I get why you felt there was a need, but it still sucks.

Not really sure why you feel this way being a very well known member of the community. This definitely doesn't apply to you as I'd vouch for you and I'm sure many others would in a heart beat.

This really affects no one but new members to weed out bad eggs and ONLY if they want to participate in an auction. It doesn't change anything else for anything else.

The way in which this is phrased is that all interested parties MUST be both 1week old AND have 3 feedback/vouchers. Because I am active doesn't mean I've done a lot of sales/purchases so it sounds like I'm therefore ineligible to bid.

Sorry to be that chick but why are we choosing to do the 3 feedback/vouches if the 1 week account/10 comments was the one that won the poll? Was the poll just to test out the waters of the community opinion?

It's been explained in the original post we are commenting on.

Hello

I am a little disappointed and was sadden too post this in first place, however
I read over the rules and not disagreeing just expressing that since I am a very new member I don't think anyone would vouche for me quite yet, I do try to be active as can and I interact with people on here too as well plus just made my first purchase it should be here tomorrow. I have done plenty of online sales and auctions of sorts with different type of gear etc.

My question is there any work around this but still going with in the rules? Is there away to get people too vouche for you... Any tips or tricks on this would be helpful. If it's better too PM me that is also okay.
The main thing I am trying to do is get this sold and shipped out too someone who can be of use of it.

Thoughts and feedback welcomed

If you want to sell, then you absolutely can. But new members are not able to bid on or post auctions.
