A brief and kinda detailed guide on types of styles you can get on toys
with examples​

Each color in a custom (not a preset option) is 10$. For example...two colors is 20$, Full Spectrum is 60$, Split Spectrum is 70$.

Preset colors like Split Midnight Forest are 15$...but if you want ANY modifications to preset colors (even just making it metallic or adding glitter) will switch it to "custom price" and in Split Midnight's case, 30$.

The Basics​

Fades - One color gradually shifting to another, a gradient.


Marbles- An even amount of 2 or 3 colors (4 sometimes but see below) marbled into each other.

Solids- A single color on a toy of your choice

Splits​

Like the above with a separate color for the base. Now. Some models can support 2 colors or, rarely, 3 colors for marbled bases.

Special Splits​

Colors such as Rage are a fade AND a tri-marble. I asked CS if other bases can have 3 colors and it depends. (Treat it like what Rage can be supported on...unless the model doesn't support fades then more digging is necessary)

PrideStreak- a toy with one color on one side and the other on the opposite side. Think Black and White Cookie. If the toy can support a marble it can support this. Only can be 2 colors. Can have a split base color.

Highlights​

A color layered over another to give a drip effect. You can only have Sloppy Seconds or Spooky Seconds as a custom with other colors. Other toys or promos with highlights cannot be altered in any way (No split base color for Slasher Silver, no "can I have X color on this toy as a highlight"?) You cannot have more than one highlight on a toy.

Specials​

For these...pretty much you can order the set colors but not your own ideas.

4 Color Marbles Colors like Astral, Opal, and Bannerless. You can get them with a highlight though. YOU CAN GET A SPLIT BASE COLOR AS WELL (Like...opal (the new one) with the three color marbled base from Rage. Hella expensive but eh. You cannot request 4 color marbles with your color choice.



Highlights Such as Slasher Silver, Enchanted Apple, Caramel Apple. Or if you find an adoption with a colored highlight you probably can't order it. Only standard preset promo or model Natural or Signatures.

Prior to 4-19-19 this color wasn't an orderable option. This color is now called Fatality.

Color Swaps​

To wrap up this sequence I'm going to touch on a couple last few things for colors. Color swaps are when you take one toy's Natural or Signature and swap it onto another model.
These only apply to the current Naturals and Signatures on the site. Colors like Absolute Zero, Old Naturals, and similar will cost the same price as a custom (fade, marble, splits, toys that had highlights like Ridley's Naturals).
You can swap a Natural on another model for the same price (nothing) and you can swap a Signature for the 20$

Dazzle/Glitter​

Comes in two variants; Silver and Gold glitter. Can only have one in a color. No upcharge for adding it*
*If the colors aren't preset colors. For example, if you want dazzle on Midnight Forest it'll be "altered" and considered a custom (in Midnight Forest case, 20$ now since it's a two color fade). If you use the color picker, out of season colors, or a custom with your own colors...no charge.

Metallic/Pearlescent​

Can turn a flat/matte color metallic and shimmery looking. No upcharge for it.
Same deal as with adding dazzle.

A Very Short Memo on Aurora Toys

Mainly since there's already a thread on this I just wanted to put a small bit of info here as well for completion sake...and a few community used slang terms on them.

CS, when people asked, said in short, "this color is very rare and isn't offered as a ticketable option"

Auroras are the official name for those very vivid and UV reactive rainbow marbles. They have a bit of translucent mixed in as well.

Rainbow Ribbon (RR) was the unofficial name given by the community until Aurora came out.
However some users will use both terms to describe this coloration. Community wise, a Rainbow Ribbon has neon bold colors (still UV reactive though) and less of the translucent pigment.

As you can see, this "Rainbow Ribbon" is more of a diluted looking coloration than the "Aurora" but is still TECHNICALLY classified as the same by BD.

Black Rainbow Ribbon/Aurora

This has all the same features as regular Auroras/RR but instead of translucent the color is black (usually with gold dazzle)

Force of Vengeance

Not a RR variant (like Strawberry/Vanilla Parfait isn't) but I put it here because I'll forget this exists later. I have no idea if it was UV reactive or not. This was a contest prize on their Twitter. So...Aurora but with Bronze? If it's UV.

RR toys show up in clearance very rarely but this is the only way to get one.
