Eh, guess so I piggyback this post, you should check the possible new birthstones from December 2022 drop in my recent posts! There were new Garnet and Amethyst released that look just the same as of those rogues in December 2022 drop and there are also so many of the rogues that might very well be BD's future birthstones. Carry on and don't look back if you don't like spoilers XD consider this the "spoilers warning" post.

A new fade from Valentine's Day was featured, but lacked a description so I'll be doing that here. Cherry Tart and Prissy Pink Split were the only new Valentine's Day colors of 2023.

Having a proper interactive guide with inventory/flop angle pictures (unlike those BD's promotional pictures which tend to be oversaturated/doctored) is much needed! So I made one. I think it's gotten super good! It'll be great for realistic color brainstorming (i.e. using it as a color picker + gallery of examples instead of the one BD provided), using as a silicone color guide when looking at cool rogue pictures hoping to figure out which silicone color used there (i.e. using it as a BD color finder). It can also be used as a sanity test, I had an existing color set I have in my mind and it helped me see things a lot, it gave me a good idea what my future custom toy might be when I have it in my hand.

I'm not sure how to convert it for community driven production, since it's just my personal project. I may update it regularly or I may not. There is one of my other personal projects this HTML will rely on for a specific kind of update, meaning the whole list of URL of pictures it's using will be entirely up to my discretion for now.

If there's a silicone you think is better suited in a different color group, if you're seeing a translucent silicone when theme specifications said it's not, or if you've found a wonderful rogue picture that you think will represent the silicone the best, you can try create a pull request of an updated HTML or make a note somewhere on GitHub and I'll take a look into it. The translucent specification was hard enough to fill it out, yet it's a far more important feature to have, the blend/smear issue during custom of two translucent silicones is an actual real problem to us. I wouldn't want any more theme specifications, never mind the metallic/pearlescent; as the gallery can already show us almost everything. I'd also want this HTML to not include the retired themes/silicones because BD isn't going to make them anymore; I want the tool to be clean and relevant for color brainstorming of my (and your) future custom toys.

This thread is super helpful! I figured we need an interactive version of all our findings. As the HTML is unfinished, I'll be sure to work filling out the missing things, especially legacy toys, I presume that BD could still make those today upon request. The HTML is usable enough to share though. :)

Mars Ascending is no longer available to custom. Just emailed CS and found out today. ETA: they suggested Legacy Jupiter and the dark red from the new Aries as a substitute.
Also: Ledo's Sig, Nix's Nat, and Janine's Nat are no longer swappable to custom on insertables.

It seems lot of blue and orange rogues from May 12th is actually Con Natural 2023 (orange) and Con Signature 2023 (blue), there was one named "Con Natural 2023" for orange one and many others haven't gotten this name and neither did any of the blues got the name I think would've been "Con Signature 2023"

I guess they're for future? I am not sure if can be custom ordered or not yet for one year of exclusive.

Some updated Star Wars inspired colors! For some colors, this will be version 3. In the past, some of these colors used to glow in the dark, but they're now marbled with another color. Possibly UV colors? Only time will tell. I'll update this post as more info comes out. 😸



Guardian Blue V3
  • Seems like metallic blue marbled with UV(?) blue with blue dazzle, metallic black base with blue and gold dazzle. Shaft may glow in the dark and possibly under UV light.


Consular Green V3
  • Looks like green metallic marbled with UV(?) green with green dazzle, metallic black base with blue and gold dazzle. Shaft may glow in the dark and possibly under UV light.


Darkside Red V3
  • Seems to be red with red dazzle marbled with UV(?) red on the shaft, metallic black with red dazzle on the base. Shaft may glow in the dark and possibly under UV light.


Revenant Purple
  • Seems to be purple with silver dazzle marbled with UV(?) purple on the shaft, onyx black and metallic black marbled with red and silver dazzle on the base. Shaft may glow in the dark and possibly under UV light.


Imperial White
  • Appears to be a marble of (UV?) white and pure silver dazzle on the shaft; onyx black and stormy gray marbled on the base with blue and red dazzle. Shaft may glow in the dark and possibly under UV light.


Peridot (2023)
  • "A three-color marble of pale metallic green, translucent green dazzle, and shiny tea green."

It looks like there were some older superhero colors dropped yesterday as well. $15 upcharge for the drop. Both shown here on Kelvin and marked as Stock Photos.

Magic Scarab: metallic blue marbled with black+blue and silver holo


Beast Within: Neon Metallic Pink, Neon (Metallic?) Lime Green, Black+gold/green holo

Gamma Party: a bright green with holo faded to dark clover green

  • Appears to be metallic red, orange, sunshine yellow and deep blue striping with solid white. Unknown if it's UV or glow in the dark.

BD closed customs for the year, but not before I managed to catch the new gemstone colors for 2023 and a few others! Zodiac colors are the same as 2022.
