Nox is a staple in every toy collection out there. I was hesitant to do a review on him, since he's been talked about to death, and so many people already have this toy.
However, I -do- think he is worth all the hype and love, and I say this even though he doesn't seem to work out for me as well as he seems to for everyone else.
Let me explain...
First Impression:
This actually isn't my first rendezvous with Nox. I had a M/M one years ago in a gorgeous autumnal marbling that I ended up selling off because I was moving out at the time, and he wasn't one of my absolute favorites. Fast forward to now, and I find this gorgeous pastel marbley fade one, and knowing how my preferences and taste in toys has changed slightly since all those years ago, I was excited and hoping that it would be different this time.
Nox's shape I would describe as simple and elegant. It's a pretty attractive toy that checks all the boxes, at least on paper. Nice length, good girth/substance, a gentle head shape, a subtle, inoffensive curve, and smoothness with just a little bit of enticing texture along the topside, but definitely not anything that looks uncomfortable. I can see why so many people are drawn to this toy, and even I am not immune to that draw. I mean, what is there not to like? Nox seems to have something for everyone.
In Use (Vaginal):
Nox is easy to insert, and is also deliciously filling. Even if his is a bit thick for you, no toy sits as comfortably inside as Nox does. I have never, not once, ever been hurt or had any weird poking with this toy and in medium, Nox is a pretty good size. For reference, my medium Echo can sometimes cause weird poking/cramping feeling if I'm not careful with him. Hands down, Nox is the most comfortable toy I've ever used. For sure.
That being said....he is also the most frustrating toy I've ever used. And I'm not even sure why? If he feels so great inside of me, why then, is he so lackluster in use? I just don't get it.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe he is just /too/ comfortable inside that he's not really hitting any one spot directly enough.
To be clear here, I am in NO way saying Nox is a bad toy, rather....it just takes me so damn long to get worked up, and to orgasm with him. Like to the point where I get actual hand cramps. Once I do orgasm though, it's great, and the rest of my orgasms come a lot easier but I've never before had a toy where I'm debating using a vibe to get SOMETHING to happen already. I do not feel the spiked ridge along the top of him like...at all. Which is also confusing, as I can feel the subtle texturing on my SOFT Delmar but....whatever. lol. Nox also has a slight matte texture over him that holds lube pretty well, and for me anyways, this toy requires a LOT of lube....probably because I'm laying there and thrusting with him for a ridiculously long time trying to get /something/ to happen. I normally need to reapply lube to him at least once while using him. It's frustrating because it feels good, but not quite good enough fast enough. It's not like any part of it is unpleasent (save for the hand cramps) I just....expected more of him I guess.
Conclusion
This is normally where I have a DO and DON'T section, but Nox is a special case.
I do think this is a toy that everyone should try at least once. I think that he is universally loved and popular enough to likely work out for you, either from beginner to experienced. Even if you are in my boat, and you find him lackluster, he is still a really comfortable toy that you can still get something out of. And if for some reason you just hate him, he's easy to resell, because of his popularity. I think you can't really go wrong in giving Nox a chance, and there's a high probability that he will end up as one of your favorites. (I am acknowledging that my experience is in the minority here.)
