The Scylla looks painful but sexy. I kind of want it. Their shipping costs for overseas folks, though... It is not 92 dollars to ship a small dong from the US to here. My word! o_O That alone makes me say "nope"! Annnnnd now I'm sad. Boo!

watching this thread. i'm interested in checking out new shops.

@Snow Pony, if you seriously want a scylla and are comfortable trusting me, you could ship it to me, and then i could send it to you? that has got to cost less than $92! jeez. expensive.

I bought a secondhand toy from someone a few months back, a medium Giraffe. Cost them 23 dollars to ship it. I had it in a week. Got a medium Luka from someone a couple years ago, cost them 26 to ship. I can't understand these companies (looking at you, BD!) that want 90+ to ship a single toy. Bought a medium toy from EE a couple months back and it cost 24 to ship.

Anywho, thanks for the offer and I'll keep it in mind. I can't really buy anything at the moment and my next purchase, whenever that happens, will be with TTC. I need a Croix like you wouldn't believe, lol

Just fyi, the owner of HodgepodgeEntourage (they changed their name last night I guess), said they were having issues with international shipping and any issues should be fixed. My Changeling and Scylla are in queue to be tried still! :sneaky:

Heya, check on that again and let me know if it's still looking crazy! As someone else mentioned, I think we got the problem fixed, but I can't actually check it on my end; Etsy does most of the shipping calculations automatically and I can only fiddle with a few parameters.

Even if you don't plan on buying something, it would be helpful if you could drop me a line and let me know if the shipping is still looking outlandish so I can try to fix the problem. <3

Popped over and had a quick look! A small Qilin is showing up at 80 dollars shipping. Converted to USD, it's 60 dollars, which is still a bit high. I've had folks send me medium-sized toys before, secondhand for between 23 - 26 USD. EE shipped a medium Yacuruna for 24USD, a few months back. Etsy is way off, I think. For 80AUD (60USD), it'd have to be 2-day airmail. :D

Checked as well. Shipping to Germany is either 48.75$ or 52.12$, depending on the model/size. Better than the aforementioned 92$ but still quite steep. Hope this helps a bit. :)

Thank ya'll for checking!

I apologize for shipping being so high. Unfortunately that seems to be the best I can do at this time. I've input the weight and package size as accurately as possible; Etsy does everything else and calculates prices based on shipping weight, country of origin, and destination country.
I've spent literal hours trying to find better prices via Etsy and have picked the brains of other indie shop owners, the etsy forums, and the grander realm of google in general.

I will say that, to my understanding, corporations such as EE, BD, and TTC generally have significantly reduced corporate rates that small shop owners do not have access to.

I'll continue looking for cheaper shipping options as high shipping costs do not at all help my business and ultimately cut into it, but at this time these seem the best I can do through Etsy.

I'd certainly be interested in hearing suggestions though if anyone happens to be postage savvy. : )

Also, as a side note, I'm always happy to refund any shipping overages and provide proof of shipping costs. I'd like to be as transparent as possible on that situation as I know it's not optimal right now. </3
