I remember when this model came out. Nothing about it really stood out to me, but I remember it being insanely popular at the time. Never really had him on my wishlist at all, but I did happen upon this pretty medium one in a drop and decided to see what all the fuss was about.
First Impression:
Holy crap it's big. I know for a fact that I won't be able to hilt him, but that's fine. To me, he is a Manticore. I love the chimera-ish piebald look to him, and the colors are also gorgeous. Also kind reminds me of neapolitan ice cream. He does have a long drip down the topside of his shaft that BD cleverly hid from the inventory photo But it adds to that ice cream cone flair to me and doesn't bother me all that much.
In Use (Vaginal):
Echo is.... Okay.
This toy in medium size is not for the faint of heart. He is VERY in your face about how huge he is. I had to wrestle with it a bit before I could get over the swell of his shaft and it wasn't a pleasant kind of stretch like how Weredog's Skylar (who is supposedly thicker than Echo?) treats me. It's smooth, but also aggressive. I guess that appropriately adds to the Manticore vibe.
As predicted, I cannot hilt this toy. I get just past the medial ring before it gets to be too much, but honestly this is a non issue. This is my first experience with any kind of medial ring, and I do really enjoy it. The best part of this toy is popping that ring in and out and getting that underside clitoral stimulation, while also having an extremely full feeling inside you at the same time. Echo has just enough texture there to feel really nice, without being overbearing, as is a common problem I have with toys that are heavily textured. So that part about him is super nice!
I am very disappointed that I can not, in any way, shape, or form, feel any of those details on his head ever during playtime with Echo I've seen other reviews say that the shape if his head is amazing, and their favorite part, but for me? I honestly don't feel anything at all, apart from being stretched to my limits by that swell. This is not a toy that I can just casually break out and use. I either have to have been toying regularly for awhile, or at least use a lot of prep beforehand.
All in all, I find Echo to be pretty good, albait nothing super special or unique, and not one that I see myself using routinely. He just takes too much prep for a pretty average experience. I deff have some great orgasms with him, but I have even better ones with Small Ky'el, or Medium Skylar, and I don't need to prep extensively for those. I would probably like him better in small, but not enough to where I'm in any hurry to rush out and try that.
All in all, I give Echo a 6/10.
DO GET THIS TOY IF:
- You like really thick toys, and feeling really full
- You like medial rings, but perhaps dislike blunt heads of Equine models
- You are looking for a good, hefty thrusting toy that has both nice girth and length
DON'T GET THIS TOY IF:
- You don't like medial rings, or you don't get much out of them.
- You don't feel like dealing with a rubiks cube in sex toy form
- You looked at the measurements and think that you can use this toy to stretch/train, or push limits. May be worth it to size down if you're stuck between sizes.
